Ibiza has always been synonymous with crazy party and the place with the wildest nightlife experiences. However, there are many more things to do in Ibiza than dance until dawn and enjoy exotic drinks.
With beautiful landscapes, a crystalline ocean and a beautiful wildlife, Ibiza can offer you the vacations of your life. The day can be as exciting as the night if you try some of the amazing adventure activities that will make your trip unforgettable.
Navigate by Ibiza
Are you someone looking for a true adventure? What better way to give life to your vacation than sailing through the waters of Ibiza… I assure you that this experience will make your friends and family jealous at home jealous.
Enjoy the sun while having a cold drink on a yacht or catamaran. If you are hot, jump to the Mediterranean and refresh yourself. If you see a beach, you are free to stop and discover it. This is one of those adventures in which you simply relax and enjoy your time in the water.
There are many options ranging from a full day, to several days or 1 week, half-day departures and sunset cruises.
Do you think the sunsets on the beaches are amazing? Just wait to experience the sunsets from the sea.
This option should be at the top of your list of things to do in Ibiza. Do not forget your camera in this adventure.
Diving and Snorkeling
Ibiza is surrounded by water, so you should not miss entering and discover what is under the sea diving or snorkeling. I know that Ibiza has an incredible landscape, but that landscape is not only on the water. Just below, the seascape is even more amazing. This can even be experienced near the beach.
Ibiza offers crystal clear waters with abundant marine life. One of the most popular dive sites in Ibiza is the Cave of Light, where you can enter a large cave with interesting rock formations. You can easily see large schools of fish, moonfish, barracudas, brunettes, crabs and jewish fish. Another great place is the Ses Formigues Volcano. Yes, it is a volcano, but it is inactive.
For the less adventurous, you can explore the island of Tagomago or Illots de Ponent, where different species of endemic seabirds, lizards and invertebrates coexist, in addition to a flora of great wealth and where you can see large schools of fish. Don’t be afraid to grab a snorkel, fins and get into the sea. You never know what you’ll see!
If you really want to immerse yourself in the waters of Ibiza, I strongly recommend our blog: Snorkeling in Ibiza where you will find more detailed information.
Trekking
If there is a special way to enjoy the landscape of the island, it is going through any of the trails or routes that it offers. A unique opportunity to discover wonderful plains and landscapes between sea and mountains and access magical places where you can appreciate the beauty of the mediterranean nature and listen to the silence.
A simple walk, for example, is the road to the Portinax Lighthouse in the north of the island, where you will enjoy beautiful views of the sea and the islets of Ses Formigues.
The 7 defense towers located in different points of the Ibiza coast with beautiful walks and spectacular views are also highly recommended.
The Portinatx Tower, the Balansat Tower near the Port of San Miguel, the En Valls Tower near of San Carlos, facing the island of Tagomago, the en Rovira Tower in San Antonio, the des Savinar Tower in Cala d’Hort, (one of the most beautiful and famous for its views of Es Vedrà), the Tower of Ses Portes between the beaches of Salinas and Es Cavallet and the des Carregador Tower at the end of Playa d’en Bossa.
